Karen is passionate about using music as a means for individuals to express themselves, build meaningful connections with others, and support healing. She takes a client-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach, striving to create spaces where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to express themselves authentically.
Karen is committed to providing inclusive and affirming music therapy for individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities, with an interest in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and other marginalized communities.
In addition to her clinical experience, Karen has a background in music education and has facilitated a variety of music programs and workshops for people of all ages. She is passionate about making music accessible to everyone and creating inclusive spaces where individuals can engage with music in ways that are meaningful to them.
